CSS Server Side Constants

A colleague pointed me to this post by Shaun Inman. It describes a way to put variables in your CSS files, which makes maintaining them more easy. I think it's a good technique, brilliant in its simplicity. When defining styles for a website, the same colors tend to return in most of the elements. With these CSS Constants you can retain consistency throughout your site design and easily keep it that way when making changes.

I've switched to a new default Radio UserLand theme for this blog yesterday, and am planning to make changes to it, so I will get a more personalised look for my blog. This involves CSS changes, and I think it's a good idea to apply these Server Side Constants to it.

I'll let you know how it works out.
